Reiki Healing for Animals

Reiki can be used for all types of illnesses and injuries in animals, especially soothing and comforting to animals that are nervous or in pain. Also animals too afraid to be touched, unable to be moved, or aggressive, skittish and/or wild ones, can be treated as effectively from a distance, "distant healing".

Reiki has principles or symbols that automatically set the intent as positive, and does not rely on the belief of the healee to work.

Finding out the cause of the illness is often done with a case history and a personal meeting or photograph of the family and animal(s). Animals work from a spirit of unconditional love. You will find mis-behaviour from animals in a home with issues between the humans. Sometimes you can find illnesses manifest in the animals before they appear in the humans.

Reiki is gentle and can be done hands on or away. The healer is a transmitter of healing energy to which animals respond amazingly well and faster than humans. Our pets live in the moment, they have no preconceived notions to get over. They understand healing energy and its benefits immediately, some will actually come looking for it. I have used Reiki to help animals deal with bereavement. Animal healing is exactly the same as healing people as they have a physical and emotional body and to some degree, a spiritual one.

I have had several experiences where wounded animals came to me for Reiki, and not necessarily domesticated ones though they all tend to come to me wounded or not. But that’s another story.

I recall being in Kew Gardens sitting on a bench admiring the various feathery beauties on the lake and ground when I saw this Moorhen with a broken foot coming towards me. She actually got onto the bench and asked for healing. top
	I have had a squirrel climbing up my leg after having followed me for a while, asking for healing. top
I saved a stag beetle from death as it laid upside down having been trodden under foot on a London street pavement. I took it home and gave it Reiki healing for 7 hours. It looked pretty dead at first but I persevered giving it energy as I could see life getting back into it top
	When it managed to walk again, and had a drink, I took it to safe pasture in the Wetland centre nearby. top
	I have prolonged the life of "Poufette", a beautiful cat living in France, giving it distant healing. She first had an amazing recovery from a very severe infection following an operation that went sour, both vet and owner were astounded at the result. She then had a breast tumour that was stopped and she was relieved from pain and discomfort and enjoyed life for an extra year and passed away very peacefully in her sleep. top
	I have also done distant healing to cats in Wales, London, Dorset all of them responding successfully. top
I helped adorable Newbury, the Dog, through her final days, giving her a lot of soothing, comforting and reassuring, and it benefited the owner as well. Newbury’s life long cat companion missed her tremendously as animals have strong feelings for each other and can suffer from depression and mourning, so I have given her Reiki as well to help her get over the loss and grieving. top
