What is Reiki Healing?
Healing can be described as "Use of energy and International thought by one or more people to systematically help another person, animal, or situation, by hand or close contact". Reiki is non-denominational and is completely confidential. It uses principles or symbols that automatically set the intent as positive and does not rely on the belief ot the healee or the healer to work.
What is the purpose of Reiki?
The purpose is to heal not only physical problems, but also emotions, mind and spirit. Whatever is wrong may be corrected to help you/your pet, lead a normal, well-balanced, healthy and happy life. Animal healing in essence is exactly the same as healing people. They have a physical, emotional and spiritual body.
How long is advised to continue healing?
We suggest that you have at least seven sessions. During this time, Reiki may work on several levels. However, if improvements don’t seem to occur after seven sessions, then we must assess how to continue. Although miracles can and often do happen, please do not give up if there is no quick and visible result. Many healings happen gradually.
Is is best to tell my Vet?
Yes. If improvement or a cure results from Reiki, it is your Vet who must decide whether to reduce any drugs you may be using. If the Vet asks about Reiki, tell him/ her that it’s purpose is to stimulate the body’s natural Healing ability. It will not conflict with any medication.
